Dr. Leigh Richardson

Dr. Leigh Richardson has studied human behavior for over 30 years. She began in organizational behavior but shifted her focus in 2003 after her son sustained a traumatic brain injury.

Having personally experienced two brain injuries that required ICU care, Dr. Leigh was driven to understand how the brain works—and why it sometimes doesn’t.

She is the founder and clinical director of Brain Performance Center®, where she leverages her MBA, MS in Counseling, and board certifications to deliver advanced, science-backed solutions for brain health. Dr. Richardson holds a Ph.D. in Psychology, and her dissertation, “The Lived Experience of Organizational Leaders with Crisis Decision-Making,” explores how leaders navigate high-stakes decisions in today’s fast-paced, high-pressure environments. This research strengthens the Center’s evidence-based approach and informs its work in Decision-Making, Resilience, and Cognitive Performance.

A recognized Brain health expert, Dr. Leigh regularly contributes to national radio and television, is the author of Turn Your Brain On – To Get Your Game On, an international speaker, and a syndicated radio host. She has also signed a second book with a publisher, set to be released before the end of 2026.
